How to Manage your SPOT SOS Settings

To update your SOS contacts and add important information that will assist the emergency response team during an SOS

  1. Login to your SPOT My Account https://myaccount.findmespot.com/login
  2. Go to My Devices and select your SPOT device (Multiple device accounts, first click on EDIT SETTINGS)
  3. Enter the SOS Settings tab
  4. Verify or edit the PRIMARY EMERGENCY CONTACT:  This person will be contacted if the SPOT USER is unavailable during an SOS
  5. Verify or edit the SECONDARY EMERGENCY CONTACT: This person will be contacted if the PRIMARY emergency contact is unavailable during an SOS
  6. Contact options may be attempted by the emergency response team including phone calls, email, SMS and other.
  7. In the Additional Information box, enter/modify any information that will be helpful in case of an SOS.  Some examples are health concerns, transportation type, approximate location(s) and/or any other useful information to assist in a rescue situation.
  8. Select SAVE
Note: If you are allowing someone else to borrow your SPOT device or if you want to assign someone as the SPOT User, click on the Check box above the additional information box. You will have to add the new SPOT user’s name and contact information, in addition to updating the Primary and Secondary contacts.
