Globalstar no longer holds inventory of the GSP-1700 or GSP-1600 satellite phones, however, we will still offer support for these products. Please contact our sales support.

The GSP-1600 phone is designed with the flexibility to meet the needs of customers who already depend on wireless communications to stay productive and in contact from the field, but find themselves in areas where cellular or radio coverage is either unavailable or inaccessible.

GSP-1600 provides redundancy communications when cellular networks are down or unavailable and offers easy-to-use voice communication with standard US 10-digit dialing and exceptional voice quality. Powered 100% by Globalstar’s Satellite Network, users can make and receive phone calls, retrieve GPS location, and dial out directly to emergency services with locally based phone numbers (where available).

Activation fee may apply.

Early termination of the service agreement will require customer to pay an Early Termination Fee in the amount of 100% of the outstanding balance of the contract, plus the full amount of any credits issued during the Term (including promotions).

Voice calls within Home Zone will be billed first minute then 30 second increments

Roaming and Long Distance Calls (outside of Home Zone) will be billed first minute then 60 second increments

Data calls will be included and billed in 15 second increments.

Subscriptions on the same annual plan and the same account will have the minutes pooled.

Unused airtime will not be rolled over to the next billing cycle.

Directory Assistance for GSP-1700 and GSP-1600 Satellite Phones: Press "1" + "local area code" + "555.1212" + press "Send". A service fee of $0.99 cents per call and applicable airtime charges may apply.

Within the Home Zone, Globalstar North American customers can freely roam without incurring additional airtime costs. This map is intended to highlight Home Zone coverage for Orbit and Galaxy customers in North America. Coverage is subject to change without notice.

SOS/911 coverage for the device only applies to areas shown above. Device must be registered on the network in order to place SOS/911 call.

Actual coverage may vary because of gateway deployment, local licensing and other factors. Globalstar service is a satellite radio technology subject to transmission limitations caused by type of terrain, service area limits, customer equipment use and other variable conditions including the functionality and orbital locations of the satellites themselves.
