FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How often should I update my SOS settings?
A: Update whenever contact information changes or before major trips. Review annually at minimum.

Q: What if my emergency contacts live in different countries?
A: You can add contacts from any country. Include their international mobile number and select their country from the dropdown. Verify the number format is valid for that country.

Q: Can I have the same person as both primary and secondary contact?
A: Not recommended. Having two different contacts ensures the search and rescue coordination center can reach someone if the first person is unavailable. However, you may use the same person if it is necessary. If you are using the same person, that person will need to possess two different phone numbers.

Q: What happens when I press my SOS?
A: SOS SPOT User and emergency contact details are immediately transmitted to the search and rescue coordination center, including your location, medical details, and itinerary. This ensures responders have everything needed for quick assistance.
