Spain's Remote Workers First to Benefit From New Globalstar and Securitas Spain Partnership for Integrated Satellite-Enabled Safety and Security Solutions

Dublin, Ireland, 3/2/2018 Securitas Spain, a company owned by worldwide security specialists Securitas Group, and Globalstar Europe Satellite Services Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Globalstar Inc. (NYSE American: GSAT), today announced a new collaboration to strengthen security solutions for remote and at-risk workers in Spain.

The new partnership between Globalstar and Securitas will enable more and more organisations in Spain to enjoy better safety and security, anywhere, 24/7 thanks to the reach and reliability of Globalstar satellites and the GPS location service provided through the Securitas Operation Center.

Securitas has become the leading worldwide provider of security solutions, including security and safety services, based on the combination of technology and specialized human resources.

At the heart of Globalstar's and Securitas' remote and at-risk worker satellite solution is Globalstar's feature-rich pocket-sized GPS messenger, the popular SPOT Gen3™, a small, rugged competitively-priced device which enables staff working alone or in remote and/or dangerous locations to send an SOS with just the touch of a button, even when they are beyond the reach of GSM mobile networks. Thanks to SPOT and the efforts of the GEOS International Emergency Response Co-Ordination Centre (IERCC), emergency services receive the user's GPS location as well as details about their gender, age and health so appropriate help can be dispatched in an accurate and timely manner. And with SPOT, colleagues and operation centre managers can track the user's location 24/7 thanks to an easy-to-use Google Maps interface.

SPOT devices have been used to initiate over 5,500 rescues around the world, many of which were live-saving.

Another member of the SPOT family, SPOT Trace™ is a small tracking device that helps users keep tabs on their valuable assets via satellite. Whether tracking and safeguarding a fleet of vehicles or high-value cargo containers and packages, with SPOT Trace, the user receives a text or email alert when new movement is detected and is able to track his/her assets via Google Maps.

"Joining forces with Globalstar will improve safety and security for workers in Spain whose jobs take them to remote or hazardous locations," said Rafael González del Río, Track&Trace Manager at Securitas.

Gary King, Globalstar Regional Sales Manager EMEA for SPOT: "Securitas is synonymous everywhere with the very best in security services and technology; the combination of Securitas and Globalstar means that Spanish companies, as well as public safety organisations, now have a powerful array of solutions on hand to enable improved safety and security."
