The QUALCOMM GSP-1620 Satellite Data Modem (SDM) delivers reliable digital data communications using QUALCOMM's patented CDMA technology and the Globalstar constellation of Low-Earth-Orbit (LEO) satellites.
Besides two-way business to business Internet communications with land, marine, or aviation based equipment, the GSP-1620 SDM, can cost-effectively retrieve data automatically from isolated power substations, or remote metering facilities such as oil and gas supply stations. Unmanned sensors connected to an SDM can monitor remote operations and initiate alert notifications.
