Globalstar provides specially-designed communication solutions for in-flight voice and data services aboard both helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, using small, omni-directional antennas. In addition to Globalstar's usual high-quality voice signal, high-speed data connections are also available via optional, multi-channel equipment.

Helicopter Kit

Cockpit/Cabin Communications
Make and receive calls or connect to the Internet. These services are available via the Globalstar satellite system and a choice of 2 airborne satellite telephone systems that insure voice quality, reliability and seamless call connection.

Medium Data Rate Satcom System (MDSS)
- - Field demo unit only at this time - - High speed, high quality digital voice and data communications for airborne applications such as real-time video and audio monitoring of aircraft cabins and cockpits. Using the Globalstar satellite system, the MDSS supports any aviation application including high-speed access to the Internet, email and private networks.
