Errol Batchelor
Team Leader, Pipeline Operations in one of the three West Coast Energy regions in British Columbia
"With operations in remote areas of British Columbia where the climate
is unpredictable, a reliable line of communications with head office
and health and safety officials is absolutely vital," said Batchelor,
commenting on Globalstar's ability to withstand extreme weather
conditions. "I'm certain the oil and gas industry will be a growing
market for Globalstar as more and more people recognize the value of
reliable, handheld, satellite communications."

Daniel Leite Lima Project Engineer, DSND CONSUB
On a geological research vessel to research the bottom of the ocean and
find new oil wells along the Brazilian coast: '"The Globalstar phone
was of extreme importance to us to contact our inland base each 30
minutes. We were working on research together with the Brazilian Navy,
in deep waters, 100 miles away from the coast, in open sea. With the
use of the telephone we were able to send confidential information, in
real time, to the technicians inland and we could also be monitored by
our engineers."

Marco Lattari
Offshore Station Manager, SEDCO Oil Platform
Oil drilling in Guanabara Bay, Brazil: "During the moving of the
platform from the Campos Basin to the Guanabara Bay, in Rio de Janeiro,
last June, we had to keep the Captainship Port Department informed of
our exact position. Any delay, due to lack of communication, could
result in a postponement of up to one week of our entrance in the
Guanabara Bay. Using the Globalstar telephone we were able to keep
close contact with the Navy Command and with our office in Rio de
Janeiro."
